Here is a concept drawing of what we envision as designed by Rod Whitman. Naturally, as the course begins to take shape the contour of the fairways, greens and tees will become defined by the soil, rocky outcropings, existing tree formations and and existing wet lands. We will need to make adjustments to accommodate what nature has provided by way of raw materials. It is important to note that trees, shrubs, etc. used on the course will be indigenous to the area. We will not be watering the fairway, only the Tees and Greens - using a sub-surface irrigation system called KISSS. Needless to say our design will use much less water than a traditional course. And the water we do use will be treated, recycled wastewater from the lodge and redirected stormwater.
